Deine Aufgaben

Bei ellamind entwickeln wir eine bahnbrechende Plattform, die es Unternehmen ermöglicht, KI-Anwendungen schneller zu verbessern und effizienter zur Automatisierung ihrer Prozesse zu nutzen. Als AI Engineer wirst du eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Entwicklung, Optimierung und Integration unserer KI-Modelle spielen. Deine Aufgaben umfassen:

Entwicklung und Feinabstimmung von LLM-basierten Anwendungen, einschließlich Prompt Engineering, Finetuning und Evaluation von Modellleistungen.
Implementation von RAG-Systemen (Retrieval Augmented Generation) und Optimierung von Vektorindizes für effiziente Informationsabfragen.
Integration von KI-Modellen in unsere Plattform mit Django Ninja (FastAPI-style API endpoints) im Backend und Next.JS im Frontend.
Entwicklung und Implementierung von Monitoring-Systemen zur Überwachung der Modellqualität, Verzerrungen und Leistungsmetriken.
Konzeption und Umsetzung von Benutzerschnittstellen, die komplexe KI-Funktionen zugänglich und intuitiv nutzbar machen.
Automatisierung und Optimierung von KI-Workflows durch Pipeline-Entwicklung und Modellorchestrierung.
Erforschung innovativer Ansätze im Bereich multimodaler KI-Systeme (Text, Bild, Audio) und deren Integration in unsere Plattform.

Dein Profil

Du hast einen Abschluss in Informatik, Maschinellem Lernen, Data Science oder einem verwandten Bereich, und/oder kannst vergleichbare Fähigkeiten durch persönliche Projekte und Berufserfahrung nachweisen - für uns zählt nicht die Länge der Erfahrung, sondern die herausragende Qualität Deiner Arbeit, die Du über deine Karriere und/oder Projekte wiederholt demonstriert hast.
Du verfügst über fundierte Kenntnisse in Python und hast Erfahrung mit ML/KI-Frameworks wie PyTorch, TensorFlow, Langchain, LlamaIndex oder ähnlichen.
Du hast praktische Erfahrung mit Large Language Models (LLMs) wie GPT, Claude oder open-source Alternativen und verstehst die technischen Grundlagen hinter diesen Modellen.
Du bist vertraut mit modernen KI-Entwicklungspraktiken wie Prompt Engineering, RAG-Systemen, und Evaluation von KI-Modellen.
Du hast idealerweise Erfahrung mit Web-Technologien wie React/Next.JS und Backend-Frameworks wie Django oder FastAPI.
Du bist begeistert von KI und ihren Einsatzmöglichkeiten in der Softwareentwicklung und bist ein echter Problemlöser.
Du sprichst fließend Englisch (mindestens B2); Deutschkenntnisse sind ein Plus.
Du bist bereit, mindestens 3 Tage/Woche vor Ort in unserem Bremer Büro zu arbeiten (mit der Perspektive, mittelfristig in unser geplantes Berlin-Office zu wechseln).
Du hast eine EU-Arbeitserlaubnis.

Your tasks

At ellamind, we are developing a groundbreaking platform that enables companies to improve AI applications more quickly and use them more efficiently to automate their processes. As an AI Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, optimization, and integration of our AI models. Your responsibilities include:

Development and fine-tuning of LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation of model performance.
Implementation of RAG systems (Retrieval Augmented Generation) and optimization of vector indices for efficient information retrieval.
Integration of AI models into our platform using Django Ninja (FastAPI-style API endpoints) in the backend and Next.JS in the frontend.
Development and implementation of monitoring systems to track model quality, biases, and performance metrics.
Design and implementation of user interfaces that make complex AI functionalities accessible and intuitive to use.
Automation and optimization of AI workflows through pipeline development and model orchestration.
Exploration of innovative approaches in the field of multimodal AI systems (text, image, audio) and their integration into our platform.

Your profile

You have a degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field, and/or can demonstrate comparable skills through personal projects and professional experience - we value not the length of experience, but the outstanding quality of your work that you have repeatedly demonstrated throughout your career and/or projects.
You have solid knowledge of Python and experience with ML/AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Langchain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
You have practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Claude, or open-source alternatives and understand the technical foundations behind these models.
You are familiar with modern AI development practices such as prompt engineering, RAG systems, and evaluation of AI models.
Ideally, you have experience with web technologies such as React/Next.JS and backend frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
You are passionate about AI and its applications in software development and are a genuine problem solver.
You are fluent in English (minimum B2 level); fluency in German is a Plus.
You are willing to work at least 3 days/week on-site at our Bremen office (with the perspective of transitioning to our planned Berlin office in midterm).
You have EU work authorization.
